This week on Weight Loss for Busy Physicians, we're going to tackle weight loss confusion. There is so many sources of weight loss information and options available that we can get confused about what to do, eat, or focus on. With so many options, it can be difficult to sort through everything and figure out how to make it all work.
I indulged in many sources of confusion before I was able to find a program that worked for me. I came up with excuses for why I couldn't rise early to exercise or tried to justify the weight gain as a natural course of aging. Confusion permeates our lives. It's one of the indulgent emotions and I'll explain just what I mean by that on the podcast.
Confusion doesn't have to be a barrier to losing weight. I'll share actionable steps for addressing confusion in your life and we'll explore how confusion manifests itself while looking at the tools to combat it. Ultimately, we have a choice to make. We can take action or let confusion keep us from getting started.

really enjoying this podcast. I’m realizing that I was most successful when I prepped my meals, rather than just running to the cafeteria between patients. Its such a simple step but sometimes i need someone (podcast) to remind you that repeating your mistakes over and over again will not get me anywhere. really enjoyed the scarcity talk of last podcast. thanks for doing this.
You’re so welcome Mariam! I’m so glad it’s helpful!
That thumb analogy. Love it. Next time I’m lost in sea of decision making, I’m going to ask myself “what if Katrina threatened to cut off my thumb? Could I make a decision then?” I miss those mini shoulder-shakes back to reality.
Hi Katrina,
I wanted to set up the 20 min phone interview and seems like you are booked for the rest of the year! I am in NY. Just wanted to make sure this is
Accurate.
Hi Idaly, yes, I can’t open enough of those slots – they fill up so quickly! Definitely get on my email list for doctors interested in hearing more about working with me. You can do that by clicking here. Then check your email and confirm that you want to be added to the list. Thanks again for your interest!
Hi Katrina! I have been blessed by the podcasts, and I am very excited about the possibility of one on one coaching. I have signed up, but i wondered if you can give me an idea of how long the wait list is for the physician group?
Hi Les,
A new physician only weight loss group will begin sometime in the new year. Be sure to sign up for updates at katrinubellmd.com/group. Thanks!
I’m new to the podcast & really enjoy it. “The model” is such a great tool! … Perhaps I’m being premature in asking about the following topics because maybe they have been addressed in the upcoming episodes. But I’m wondering, number one what do you do to better ingrain the replacement thoughts that you input into the model? Do you turn them in to mantras? Number two, can you please do an episode about self forgiveness and forgiveness of others? I find my mind flashing back to all of the moments in which I have made myself cringe just before I do something that is counterproductive to my goals. Thank you!
