How have we gone 30 episodes without discussing personal relationships!? Today, we fix that by covering the basic framework for understanding relationships and social skills. It starts with judgment and expectations.

We all judge – some more than others. No one can escape it completely. Everyone has their own internal code for appropriate and inappropriate behavior. Since this internal code is unique to us, it can make navigating personal relationships really tricky.

Additionally, we do not always effectively communicate our internal code to the people in our lives. This makes things messy when someone breaks our rules – emotions can boil over and feelings can get hurt.

Accepting the differences in each person’s social rules will lead us to live with more empathy and reduce our stress.
